In the food industry great demands are made on hygiene. The process and packing equipment has to be easy-to-clean, and the working environment has to be prepared for good hygiene. Together with leading biotechnological institutes, BILWINCO has therefore developed a weighing and packing principle that focuses on cleaning friendliness, bacteria preventive constructions – and materials tolerating the aggressive environment in the wet food industry. All equipment (feeding, weighing and filling systems, etc.) is designed with the highest attention to the hygiene concept of BILWINCO – just as BILWINCO has developed additional machinery to guarantee improved cleaning standards, i.e. the hygienic platform, etc.
BILWINCO hygienic platform
The hygienic platform from BILWINCO is in stainless steel execution with banisters, stairs and grating for outlet of water during cleaning. The platform has sloping and rounded surfaces to avoid standing water – and a plate covers the opening for the discharge chute. A washing station for charge and combination buckets can be mounted directly on the platform. All joints have been fully welded to prevent any build-up of bacteria. The whole construction ensures easy and efficient cleaning.
Mobile systems
Furthermore, the BILWINCO machinery is available as mobile and lowerable units, thus ensuring optimal hygienic conditions. The weigher can be completely removed from the line in order to clean the weigher and the packaging machine separately. In addition, the weigher can be lowered to the floor – guaranteeing more efficient cleaning. The mobile infeed system can also be lowered and wheeled away from the line together with the weigher.
